The Comfor Hotel, Frauenstraße is located right in the centre of Ulm and is easily reached from the A8 motorway (Stuttgart - Munich) in addition to the A7 (Füssen-Würzburg). Ulm cathedral, the main shopping area, the railway station and the fisherman's quarter are a few minutes' walk away. It is only a few minutes by car to the congress centre or the Donauhallen trade fair ground.
With its spire 161.53 m high, Ulm cathedral is the highest church spire in the world and the largest evangelical church in Germany. The church is open to visitors every day. Anyone who wishes to do so can climb the 768 steps to the uppermost observation platform and enjoy a fine all-round view over Ulm, Neu-Ulm and the surrounding area.
In the Middle Ages, the fisherman's quarter was mainly inhabited by fishermen, tanners, millers and seamen.
Many half-timbered buildings from this era are still to be found here on the Donauzufluss der Blau river. The quarter with its many bridges and alleys beckons you to take a little tour around.
Donauhalle and trade fair grounds
The Donauhalle is located on the Ulm trade fair grounds. All occasions such as concerts, conferences, congresses and events are held in the Donauhalle.
